Brilliant by Night started the way a lot of good local companies do — with a problem worth solving and the stubbornness to do it right.

Founder Eli Ziegler was tired of watching friends and neighbors risk a fall every December, stringing lights that came down in January and got tangled in a box until next year. Permanent lighting solved the ladder problem, but too many installers treated it as a quick sale and disappeared the moment the invoice cleared. Eli wanted to build the opposite: a company where the person who designs your lighting is the same person who installs it, answers your call, and honors the warranty years later.

Today, Eli and Jake own and run Brilliant by Night as a hands-on, family-owned operation across Colorado, the Omaha metro, Kansas City, Milwaukee and Middle Tennessee. They kept the crew small on purpose — small enough that quality never gets handed off to a subcontractor, and that every homeowner talks to a real person.
